Founder & Executive Director
Bree Eubanks
Third Coast Christian is pleased to introduce our Founder and Executive Director, Bree Eubanks. Mrs. Eubanks is a loving wife and mother to 3. She brings years of experience in leadership and community engagement to our school. In addition to her role at TCC, she is the Co-Owner and a coach at Rilion Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Galveston, as well as, Co-Owner and Designer at Liv Third Coast Construction.
Her diverse background and devotion to God’s vision are instrumental in helping our leadership team carryout the mission of TCC. Bree's passion for Christian education and education choice reflect her unwavering commitment to giving Galveston families a tuition-free, biblical worldview learning environment that sets our students on a path to success.

Director of Lower & Upper Levels
Melanie Tucker
Third Coast Christian welcomes Melanie Tucker as the Director of Lower & Upper Levels. With a rich background in education, administration, and curriculum development,
Mrs. Tucker brings extensive experience in fostering high academic quality and student success.
Her career includes roles in both public and private school teaching, homeschooling, school administration, and business ownership. With her strong leadership and passion for Christian education, she has dedicated her career to creating structured, nurturing, and engaging learning environments for students of all ages.
Under Melanie’s leadership, both the Lower and Upper Levels will thrive, offering students an enriching and faith-based learning experience.

Director of Beginning Levels
Toni Tornero
Third Coast Christian is delighted to welcome Toni Tornero as the Director of Beginning Levels. With a deep passion for Christian Montessori education, she brings years of experience as a Montessori owner, director, and early childhood educator.
Miss Toni’s expertise includes creating faith-based curriculum in a nurturing Montessori environment that promotes age appropriate development practices for infants - 5 years old. Toni holds a Master’s in Education with a Montessori teaching certification and a Texas Child Care Director Certification.
Her faith, dedication, and experience makes her a perfect fit to lead our youngest learners at TCC. We look forward to seeing the loving and inspiring foundations created in The Eagles Nest and The Eagles Branch!

Chaplain
Marlo Dowdy
Third Coast Christian is blessed to have Pastor Marlo Dowdy serve as our Chaplain. She is a certified Chaplain through the NSCA with over 20 years of experience in military chapel ministry, serving through Young Life Military, Life Teen International, and the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA. For the past 15 years, Marlo has also faithfully served in a pastoral role at Church of the Living God Galveston.
As the Chaplain for TCC, Marlo is passionate about equipping a dedicated team to nurture children’s overall well-being and academic success. By fostering self-esteem, resilience, and empathy, she aims to help every youth thrive and feel valued within a Christ-centered environment.

Counselor
Jamie Blackburn, MA, LPC
Jamie Blackburn serves as the Counselor at Third Coast Christian. bringing close to 20 years of experience in both clinical and pastoral counseling. Jamie served alongside her husband in his role as a youth minister for 15 years in youth and family ministry. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she has worked with individuals navigating a wide range of issues such as anxiety, trauma, depression, and relational challenges.
Her unique background combines evidence-based therapeutic methods—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy—with faith-based inner healing models like Theophostic Prayer and Heart Sync. Passionate about helping youth walk in emotional and spiritual freedom, Jamie sees counseling as both a calling and a ministry.
Rooted in Galveston and deeply committed to the well-being of young people, Jamie offers a safe, supportive space where students can grow in resilience, faith, and emotional wholeness.

Office Manager
Brenna Meier
Welcome Mrs. Brenna! Brenna Meier is a proud wife and mother of 4. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences that comes in handy when answering all the important questions inquisitive young minds throw her way. As the co-founder of a local homeschool co-op, she has facilitated learning for a wide range of ages.
Brenna regularly volunteers in her home church’s nursery and has a passion for sharing the Bible with all students. She also runs a small homestead consisting of chickens, ducks, quail, rabbits, goats, and one dog. In her spare time you can find her at the beach, camping, hiking, or hiding out in her garden.

Hatchlings Guide
Michelle Rodriguez
Michelle Rodriguez brings to TCC over 23 years of experience in high-quality early childhood care, specializing in infant development. Born and raised in Texas, she is bilingual in English and Spanish—fostering early language exposure and cultural connection from the very start.
As the founder of Organize with MOVIIK, Miss Michelle is known for creating nurturing, structured environments where babies thrive. Her play-based, child-centered philosophy emphasizes consistency, love, and curiosity. With a calm spirit and a passion for Christian education, she finds joy in every milestone and moment of discovery.
Miss Michelle is thrilled to welcome the infants of TCC into her Christian Montessori inspired room this fall!

Nestlings Lead Guide
Laurie Gorham
TCC welcomes Laurie Gorham as our Toddlers Lead Guide. A proud veteran and mother of two, Laurie brings over five years of early childhood teaching experience. She has a deep passion for helping children feel safe, loved, and curious as they grow. Miss Laurie treasures those “lightbulb moments” when young minds make new discoveries.
She actively volunteers in her church and community, from welcoming attendees to teaching Sunday school and organizing support networks for families in crisis.
Laurie is also an avid learner and creative spirit who enjoys photography, reading, crocheting, and dancing in the kitchen. Her heart for children, love of learning, and servant leadership are a blessing to our TCC family.

Carson Sims
TCC is thrilled to announce Carson Sims as the Co-Guide in our Toddler room. With over 10 years of experience in early childhood care, Carson brings a deep love for Jesus and a heart for little ones to our 2-3 year olds. She’s passionate about creating a space where joyful learning and faith come alive—seeing the world through a child’s eyes is one of her greatest joys. Carson counts it a true honor to walk alongside our youngest learners as they discover more about God’s love every day.

PreK3 & PreK 4 Lead Guide
Lyndie Schroeder
Third Coast Christian introduces Lyndie Schroeder as our Eagles Branch PreK3 & PreK 4 Lead. Mrs. Lyndie brings nearly 30 years of experience in Christian education to TCC. She is passionate about shaping young hearts and minds through a biblical worldview. Lyndie believes in equipping our little Eagles with the foundational tools of student led learning!
Her excitement for joining a brand-new mission stems from the opportunity to impact children and families in the Galveston community through Christ-centered education and character development. Lyndie sees her role at TCC as a God-given opportunity to be part of something meaningful from the ground up. She trusts that where God gives vision, He equips the right people to carry it out.

PreK3 & PreK 4 Co-Guide
Alejandra Ruiz
A proud BOI, Alejandra is honored to serve the youth and families of Third Coast Christian. With five years of experience in Christian education, she brings a beautiful blend of academic dedication and deep faith in Christ to her role. Alejandra has a heart for nurturing both minds and spirits—encouraging students to grow in character, walk boldly in their faith, and serve others with compassion.
Outside the room, you’ll find her enjoying travel, books, painting, and quality time with family and friends. Alejandra is excited and expectant for the journey ahead at TCC!

Kindergarten
Alyssa Shadle
Please join us in welcoming Alyssa Shadle at TCC! Alyssa brings a wealth of experience and a true passion for early childhood education to our community. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Wayland Baptist University, along with a Texas Childcare Director’s Certification. Furthermore, Alyssa holds Texas Teaching certifications in core subjects for early childhood through 6th grade, an ESL certification, and a special education certification.
Beyond her impressive academic and professional credentials, Alyssa is deeply invested in our local community, and has worked for and volunteered with several incredible non-profits in Galveston.
Alyssa loves to help children build confidence in their capabilities, and believes in nurturing an environment where students and their families can grow together each school year. She also firmly believes in the power of creating a loving and God-serving community for our children to learn and grow. We are thrilled to have Alyssa join the Third Coast Christian family!

Director of Music & Performing Arts
Julianna Matherne
TCC welcomes Julianna Roberts Matherne. She is celebrating her 10th year in Christian education. Mrs. Matherne studied in Chicago, where she discovered her passion for musical theatre and developed a lifelong love of music and the fine arts. Through her teaching experiences in lower grades and high school grades, she has learned that when you do what you love, the ages do not matter—teaching is a true ministry and an honor.
Bringing Jesus into the room is one of Julianna’s greatest joys. She treasures the opportunity to pour into her youth each day.
Outside of the room, Julianna is a proud mom of five amazing children who keep her on the go—especially at the baseball field. She enjoys life’s simple pleasures: a perfect 75-degree day, live music by the beach, iced coffee, a good book, and time with her family.

3rd & 4th, Agriculture, Golf Coach
Tyler Cox
Tyler Cox joins TCC with a heart for youth, a passion for agriculture, and a lifelong love of golf. Originally from Hobbs, New Mexico, Tyler began playing golf at the age of four and went on to compete at the collegiate level—first at New Mexico Junior College and later at Colorado State University–Pueblo. He completed both his Bachelor’s (2022) and Master’s degree (2024) in Agriculture at Tarleton State University.
After meeting his wife and completing his studies, Tyler accepted a position at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center, where he deepened his understanding of agriculture and education.
In May 2025, Tyler and Mattie relocated to Galveston after she was accepted into a graduate program at UTMB Health.
At TCC, Tyler is excited to serve 3rd and 4th youth, lead agriculture electives, and coach golf—bringing together his academic expertise, athletic experience, and love for Christ-centered education. He is passionate about helping students grow in wisdom, character, and confidence as they discover their God-given talents.

Upper Level English
Amy Allison
TCC is excited to welcome Amy Allison as our Upper Level English teacher! With 17 years of experience in both public and private education, Amy brings a deep love for literature and a passion for mentoring students.
Originally from Virginia, Amy moved to Galveston in 2015 and has taught a wide range of grade levels, with most of her classroom experience in middle schools. She holds a B.A. in English with a minor in Education from James Madison University and has also spent many years tutoring students individually.
Her room is known for incorporating practical applications, while fostering critical thinking skills that engage students with diverse texts. She is thrilled and inspired to share her love of language arts with her youth, while presenting it with a Biblical Worldview.
Outside the classroom, Amy enjoys Bible studies, jogging, reading, and spending time with her Jack Russell, Penelope, and her cat, Oliver.
We’re grateful to have her join the TCC family and share her joy for learning and faith!

Alex Richardson
Please help TCC welcome Alex Richardson. Mr. Richardson graduated from Boyce College with a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies. Over the past decade, he has served the next generation through student ministry and education.
He is eager to cultivate a love for Jesus and a passion for learning in his youth.
Alex and his wife Lauren, have been married for eleven years and have two sons, Jack and Paul.

Jeremiah Oliver
We’re excited to welcome Jeremiah Oliver, known on campus and in the community as Coach O! With over 14 years of experience in education, he brings a powerful blend of teaching expertise, mentorship, and unwavering faith to the room.
Coach O is deeply passionate about motivating and inspiring students and athletes—not just academically, but spiritually. His dynamic and differentiated teaching style meets students where they are and equips them to apply math concepts to real-world scenarios. In Coach O’s Upper Math room and on his teams, students can expect to grow in both confidence and capability as they develop a strong appreciation for lessons learned and a deeper relationship with God.
We’re honored to have Coach O on the TCC team as he helps shape tomorrow’s leaders—one equation and one prayer at a time.

Upper Level Science & STEM
Natalie Newell
TCC welcomes Natalie Newell! With 15 years of teaching experience across California, Florida, Mississippi, and now Texas, Mrs. Newell brings a vibrant passion for hands-on, engaging, and sometimes gloriously messy learning.
She holds a Bachelor's degree from California State University of San Marcos and a Master’s in Education from William Carey University. Her room is known for its energy, creativity, and... turtles! She has 2 furbabies and 3 shelldrin - named George, Crazy Eyes and Michelangelo. Crazy Eyes will be joining the Science shenanigans!
Mrs. Newell is deeply committed to cultivating faith, curiosity, and critical thinking. She is looking forward to the deep relationships with her youth. She cannot wait to pray with them and for them! Instead of teaching what to think, she wants to teach them how to think and to strengthen their faith by growing their knowledge.

Scripture & Worldview
Lolinne Gossett
TCC welcomes Lolinne Gossett. She joins us with 20+ years of experience teaching bible curriculum. She has a passion for sharing the Word of God, all Its truths, and all Its mysteries; ensuring every lesson is both interesting and fun. She works hard in ensuring that her students have a well-rounded view and understanding of the Word of God, helping them to apply It to their everyday lives, and challenging them to become the best versions of themselves.
Mrs. Gossett is also an interpreter-translator who studied at Berlitz School of Languages and is a 3rd Dan Kukkiwon-certified Martial Artist.
Outside of school, Mrs. Gosset is a wife and mom, loves the beach, and leads the women’s Bible study at her home church.
